   • Each unit is assigned a unique repair number (e.g., SCOL-05232), allowing precise tracking and progress updates throughout the process.
3. Technician Assignment & Scheduling
   • Our customer service representative (CSR) assigns the repair to a technician with specialized expertise for the brand and type of drive being serviced. The unit is scheduled for teardown at the appropriate service center.
4. Cost Estimation & Quoting
   • Our costing department identifies the required parts and inputs pricing and availability into the system. The CSR then prepares a repair estimate and sends it to the customer.
5. Customer Approval
   • The customer approves the repair and provides a purchase order (PO) to authorize the service.
6. Teardown & Evaluation
   • The drive is disassembled and inspected by a trained technician, who identifies the root cause of failure. Worn, damaged, or high-failure components are noted for replacement.
7. Failure Analysis & Parts Identification
   • Each failed component is analyzed, and detailed notes are recorded in our tracking system. This data is used to create a failure analysis report, which is later shared with the customer.
8. Parts Procurement & Assembly Scheduling
   • Once all parts are received, the system notifies our technicians that the unit is ready for assembly. The repair is then scheduled for assembly and testing (AT stage).
9. Assembly & Testing
   • The drive is reassembled according to OEM standards. It undergoes rigorous functional testing to ensure it operates as intended.
10. Painting & Final Inspection
    • The drive is cleaned, painted, and prepared for final inspection. The unit is checked to ensure it meets all performance, aesthetic, and safety standards.
11. Documentation & Reporting
    • The CSR receives a test report documenting the failure analysis, parts used, and test results. This information is included with the unit for customer review.
12. Packaging & Shipping
    • The unit is packaged to prevent damage during transit and shipped back to the customer. If needed, we offer delivery and pick-up services.
